Project Name Description
GDC 2002 Playstation 2 clippingPresentation: Playstation 2 clipping using VU microcode ( GDC 2002 ) Implementation of a fast clipping renderer optimised for triangle strips. Example of how to use the CLIP instruction in the vector unit.

gg - 3d graphics toolkitI AM VERY BUSY (school) AT THE MOMENT, BUT I SHOULD BE ABLE TO RELEASE SOMETHING SOON. GG provides programmers with an interface similar to OpenGL display lists for drawing geometry to the screen. GG is not (nor uses) ps2gl, and has a different goal. GG currently has two implementations: -PS2/Linux: (This version is almost finished) Display lists are compiled into DMA chains, and called when rendered to the screen, using a modified version of KISS renderer. -PC/Windows: (In development) Calls to GG are translated into calls in OpenGL. Features of GG: -display lists -adjustable perspective matrix (clipping planes, adjustable fov) -textrure mapping -modelview matrix stack -movable camera -alpha blending (buggy on) -text overlay above graphics (replaceable bitmapped font) -gourard shading -directional lights (3) (diffuse only on ps2 version) -automatic normal rescaling Planned features: -fix alpha blending -positional lights -specular on ps2
GIF/VIF/DMAtag disassemblerReads in a GIF/VIF/DMAtag from a file, and prints its contents to the screen, useful in debugging perhaps. Current beta can translate GIFtags and provide warnings for some errors that may be hard to catch (e.g. setting PRIM in REGLIST mode). No VIF/DMA support yet. Compatible with .dat files for VU competitions, and VU dumps from Sauce's modified harness
GNU binutilsProvide source and binaries of up-to-date versions of GNU binutils with EE patches.
GNU C CompilerGCC is a standards compliant C compiler supported on a great number of platforms. This project will release binary and source versions of the compiler with support for Linux for Playstation 2.
Gnu School Step RevolutionGSSR (Gnu School Step Revolution) is a PS2Linux port of a number of open source dance games. GSSR will eventually support any dance pad that is compatible with the PSX versions of Konami's Step Step Revolution and Dance Dance Revolution. It wil also eventually support tempo matching of (almost) any MP3 to sync game arrows with any song loaded.
GPL Quake to PS2 ConversionThe core of this project is converting the GPL'd source for Quake to the Playstation 2. The first complete conversion release will include level, model, and texture examples with open license binaries for example purposes. To use the full package, I'd recommend purchasing Ultimate Quake. The documentation will include where to put the game binaries and methods of getting to them.
