SUBJECT: RE: eth0 configuration file & details

You may have to edit the SSHD configuration (usually /etc/ssh/sshd_config) to uncomment "PermitRootLogin yes" if you are trying to log in as root via SSH. Then restart SSH (/etc/rc.d/init.d/sshd restart) to try it out.
