SUBJECT: Linux Kit at NZ Expo

Just saw the kit at the NZ expo working in real life. Pretty cool I thought.

The kit was running a mp3 player of some sort the the guy had recompiled for the PS2 kit. He reckoned it ported real easy and it was up and running in no time.

No internet was available so we couldn't browse:-(

Sounded like the standard browser that comes with the kit cant handle flash :-(( and the firewire port cant be used yet :-(

The interface looked nice on a monitor but it needs some tweaking for the 29"TV. Icons and menus were HUGE. Desktop was far larger than the screen.

Got a glimpse of a manual that had been printed out. Very comprehensive from what little I saw.

Roll on 22nd
