Summary:VU Coding Contest: Results!

The PS2Linux 2003 VU coding contest results have been announced!

3rd Place: "Bubble" by Fabian Roth (fin)
2nd Place: "Plasmaroids 2" by Ben Tayler (bjt)
1st Place: "VU Nightmare!" by Jonathan Hobson (kazan)

Commendation also goes to the intro of "The Winds", the beginning of "Lit Spinner", and "Maxdemon".

As sad as it seems to post a "Plasmaroids II - Strategy guide" there was one thing I figured out pretty damned quickly... it's a lot easier if you restrict yourself to only shooting the 'roids that are moving towards you, when you do that, they slow down.

Fire a stream of bullets into a 'roid that's moving away from you, and you'll speed it up considerably...

Will there ever be a Plasmaroids 3? I dread to think what cunning things could be thought up for the trequel...
