Notes: This is an experimental release of a gcc version 3 compiler for Linux for Playstation 2. The binary tarball contains mipsel binaries in relative paths, so it may be best utilized by untarring in /. The binaries are simply called gcc, so make sure that your path gives you the appropriate compiler binary for your needs (gcc-2.95 that comes with the kit in /usr/bin, gcc-3.0.3 in /usr/local/bin).
