SUBJECT: Is BRL secure enough?

Hi,

I would like to use PS2 w/ Linux Kit as my small home internet workstation, running my personal ftp and web servers.

With PS2 Linux 1.0 (kernel 2.2.1) I wasn't quite sure if it's safe to run it as my primary internet machine, since too many security issues was found and fixed since kernel 2.2.1 was released.

But now, with BRL 1.0, using PS2 as a small home server looks like a reasonable idea.

Another thing: is it safe to run PS2 24x7? Is it reliable enough for that?

What do you think?
