Summary:Europe: Network Access Disc Vouchers are out!

If you're an existing Linux kit customer in Europe who received a Network Access Disc recently, you should have also received a validation voucher this week.

A small number of people have reported that the numbers are printed too faintly to read - if you cannot read the voucher please mail me at sarah@playstation2-linux.com and I can provide you with a replacement set of codes.

Happy (online) gaming!

SUBJECT: RE: What an ordeal....

I'd thought I'd wait until my PIN actually arrived before responding, and guess what, nearly two weeks later and no sign of it.

I rang up the UK support line and a very helpful gentlemen tried to help when I explained that a) my PIN hadn't arrived, b) when I try to log in it said my Handle was not registered, c) if I tried to re-register that the handle was already in use and then that the access code had already been used and was invalid.

The guy on the phone couldn't explain the problem and could find no sign of my registration using my handle or any of my other personal details. So all he could do was log the call, gave me a reference number and said a new access code would be mailed to me by 1st class post.

Since then, I managed to log in with my real handle (one of many I use and happen to forget that evening), but still no sign of my PIN for the original registration.

Oh, and if Sony told me to sod off and buy a consumer network adapter, then I would. So what, I can afford it and it wouldn't make the slightest difference to me. Not sure why this would be relevant to complaining about an overally complicated registration system which in my case just isn't working as Sony planned.
