Thanks for the explanation, much appreciated. I just hope that when the PIN is actually needed for the service that the wait is drastically reduced or this won't be last complaint.
The bit about buying another adapater was not aimed at you, but just a response to the previous message where they assumed it would make the slightest bit of difference to me if Sony told me to "Sod off, go buy a Consumer Network Adapter" - which I'm sure you would not do.
