Project Description: Homebrew Haven provides PS2/Linux kit owners with the documentation, tools and libraries they need to write PS2 native software that is loaded by the RTE bootloader. Such programs are assured full access to the PS2's hardware without the performance and operating system penalties imposed by the Linux operating system. Eventually Homebrew Haven hopes to provide demo, game, and application developers all the tools needed to run both standard and kit-bootable PS2 software. |

Native mode reloader version 1.1 released
Homebrew Haven - mrbrown - 2004-Nov-15 23:50 This is a bugfix release. It fixes an error in the autodetection of newer PS2 kernels. Thanks goes to Boomint for the fix. (0 Comments)
Native mode reloader version 1.0 released
Homebrew Haven - mrbrown - 2004-Jun-15 23:45 I've released version 1.0 of reload1, the native mode reloading tool for the PS2 Linux RTE. reload1 is used for executing native mode (i.e. the system that you see when you play games) programs from within the RTE. It can be used to run the native boot loader ps2link, which can run a variety of homebrew software.
This version adds support for the SCPH-50000 series of PS2, and it should work on all PS2s supported by the PS2 Linux Kit.

Native Mode Reloader Released
Homebrew Haven - mrbrown - 2003-Jan-19 18:40 I've posted the source (and a simple test program) that allows you to reboot the original PS2 operating system. SCPH-3900x users beware: I don't think this works on that series, and I'll be working on a fix sometime in the near future.
If you're bored, go out and grab a bunch of homebrew demos and tell us which ones you've run.

New RTE-only test program released
Homebrew Haven - mrbrown - 2002-Jun-26 00:32 We've released an insanely simple program to demonstrate loading arbitrary RTE programs from the memory card. It flashes the orange (normally HDD) activity LED continuously. Now you've seen it all! ;-).
If you've got RTE-only demos you'd like to share, drop one of us a line and we'll post it here. Check back often for more demos, libraries, and tools for PS2/native development.
Have fun!
